As Manager, Construction Thought Leadership on the Autodesk Construction Solutions team, you will play a pivotal role in planning and leading global content marketing efforts for initiatives that support the Autodesk construction thought leadership platform

To be impactful in this role, you will need exceptional interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships that will help you champion the Autodesk thought leadership efforts. You will work with a broad group of key stakeholders and teams including industry strategists, researchers, customer-facing program managers, digital marketers, and public relations experts to amplify our voice in the market. Together, you will develop, drive and own omnichannel thought leadership programs, as well as measure and optimize programs, based off data to demonstrate success. Additionally, you’ll manage a team of vendors, contractors, and internal staff to ensure thought leadership content meets Autodesk editorial guidelines and standards

The perfect candidate will be able to combine their high-impact story telling with proven project management skills to drive thought leadership, analyze market opportunities, and plan and implement marketing tactics. Your experience, customer understanding and focus, strong analysis and marketing skills, and ability to tell a great story in multiple forms will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and activate the Autodesk Construction thought leadership platform through key content and programs to demonstrate the value and relevance of our insight and analysis

  • Create connection points between the Autodesk thought leadership initiatives and down-funnel content efforts that help our target audience discover, evaluate, and choose Autodesk as their construction technology partner

  • Use data and customer insights to determine the most effective content-led activities to drive awareness of key trends impacting the global construction industry

  • Develop and implement a simple, high-impact manner of communicating Thought-Leadership outputs (internally and externally)

  • Have considerable and demonstrable experience of people management and proven track record of collaboration across multiple stakeholders

  • Define marketing goals and objectives for various thought leadership programs

  • Develop content strategy and execute on content development

  • Collaborate with other ACS teams on joint marketing initiatives for thought leadership

  • Create content for external audiences including global industry research, articles, whitepapers, infographics, search landing pages, and blog posts that articulate the Autodesk thought leadership position

  • Direct and create internal marketing materials, learning tracks, and presentations to promote a common understanding of Autodesk’s thought leadership and vision

  • Assist with writing and producing keynotes for internal customer and sales events, and drive keynote creation for external conferences and trade shows as assigned

  • Partner closely with public relations to create a shared earned media plan for promoting the Autodesk Construction thought leadership pillarsIdentify new opportunities to drive thought leadership and scale them

Minimum Qualifications

  • Storyteller, problem solver, program manager, and big picture thinker

  • Successful track record of leading thought leadership or industry marketing initiatives

  • Outstanding interpersonal, writing, and communications skills

  • Be a vocal advocate and positive influence towards team working and staff integration

  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions to closure

  • Thrives in a dynamic environment where requirements shift to meet changing business needs

  • Demonstrates initiative and is self-driven

  • Ability to interpret data to make informed recommendations and decisions to continuously optimize messaging and programs and share impact with ACS leadership

  • Ability to work effectively in global virtual and dispersed teams

  • A team player who is willing to engage in both strategic and tactical work as business needs dictate

  • Proven success creating marketing plans and communications materials, including producing and writing executive level presentations and keynotes

  • Experience managing marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI

  • Ability to establish credibility and achieve positive impact in customer, analyst and press interactions

  • Ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications, Sociology, Theatre Arts, English or architecture/engineering field. MA or MBA preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in business/marketing role preferred

  • AEC industry experience preferred
